Wallet Tracker ("we", "us", or "the app") helps families and groups track shared
expenses. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the
choices you have. By using Wallet Tracker you agree to the practices described here.
Information We Collect
- Account information: your username and an encrypted (hashed) password.
- Content you create: wallets, expenses, categories, reminders, lists,
tasks, chat messages, and any photos or files you attach.
- Family/group data: the family or group you belong to and your role
(owner or member), so data can be shared with the right people.
- Device tokens: push-notification tokens used to deliver alerts.
- Subscription status: whether you have an active Pro subscription
(processed by Apple and RevenueCat — we never receive your payment-card details).
How We Use Your Information
- To provide core features: storing and syncing your expenses, messages, and shared data.
- To send notifications you have enabled (chat messages, reminders, task activity).
- To manage subscriptions and unlock Pro features.
- To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. Information is shared only with:
- Members of your own family/group, for the data you choose to share with them.
- Service providers that operate the app: Apple and RevenueCat (subscriptions)
and Expo (push notifications). These providers process data only to perform services for us.
- Authorities, if required by law.
Data Retention & Deletion
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can permanently delete your
account at any time from within the app (Settings → Delete Account). Deleting your account
removes your personal data, including your messages, expenses, and attachments. If you are the
last member of a family, that family's shared data is also deleted.
Security
Passwords are stored using one-way hashing, data is transmitted over encrypted connections
(HTTPS), and access to data is scoped to your family/group.
Children's Privacy
Wallet Tracker is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data
from them.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating
the "Last updated" date above.
